Department Announcements H1N1 UpdateAs we continue our prevention methods regarding seasonal flu and H1N1, we are requesting that when parents use the call back system to report their child's absence, they report if their child is absent due to flu-like symptoms. Flu-like symptoms include a fever of 100F or greater accompanied by a cough and /or sore throat. Students may not return to school until they are fever free for 24 hours.
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has recommended that children and young adults aged 6 months through 24 years be vaccinated against the H1N1 virus as soon as the vaccine is available. The Milford Public Schools along with The Milford Board of Health are planning H1N1 vaccine clinics that will be held after school hours and on a Saturday. When the vaccine becomes available, parents will be notified of clinic dates and location. H1N1 Parent LetterClick here to view the letter to Parents regarding the H1N1 flu.
